Cinacore Adds a Continuous Annealing Line to Expand Nanocrystalline Capacity

Cinacore has commissioned an additional continuous annealing line at its core manufacturing base, raising monthly capacity for nanocrystalline toroidal cores and stabilising the magnetic properties that metering class transformer makers depend on.

Annealing is the step where nanocrystalline alloy develops its fine grain structure. A dedicated continuous line keeps the temperature profile and cooling rate consistent from coil to coil, which is what allows batch permeability to stay within a narrow tolerance band.

With the extra line in operation, standard sample lead time is held at seven to twelve days and mass production orders can be scheduled with shorter confirmation windows. Customers with annual framework agreements will see priority slot allocation during peak metering season.

The line also supports magnetic field annealing for cores that require a defined anisotropy, used in certain residual current sensor and protection core designs.
